How to form the letter N
- Trace the dotted letters. Place the pencil at the start of the first dotted N and trace over each one, following the handwriting guide lines.
- Follow the stroke order. Short stick, then one bump over the top.
- Write it independently. On the blank rows, copy the letter N without the dots, keeping it sitting on the red base line.
Saying the sound “n” as they trace (“n is for nest”) links handwriting practice to phonics. When N is secure on its own, put it into a whole word on a handwriting practice sheet.
